Why did it show me a state/province view by default?

We use your computer's IP address to determine where in the world you are located and if you are located in Canada or the USA we show the state/province that you are located in to allow you quicker access to a local directory near you.

What are zones?

Zones divide the map into areas that allow you to quickly access specific areas without having to guess what you are going to get.

What is the hybrid view?

By combining the pins and the zones, we show users a hybrid that gives the number available in each zone. This allows you to select the zone which best meets your needs for location and also result density.

What is the pins view?

This shows up to 10 business locations marked with pins on the map. While there may be more than 10 results, we only show 10 pins per page of results.

What is the map option?

No pins, zones or hybrid information displayed here just the map.

How do I update business information?

Use the feedback form from the top right navigation link and select "Add / Update a Business". We will then verify the information and update the business in a subsequent release.

What is the Search Nearby option?

This allows you to find businesses based on their distance from your defined location. You can search around this area by using a keyword in the "Search Nearby" box or by clicking a business category link.

How do I submit a related website?

Visit the business listing page for which you wish to submit a related website and on that page click on the "Submit a Related Website" link located near the bottom.

Why does my competitor's business rank higher than mine?

We rank businesses based on a proprietary algorithm that takes into account a number of factors including relevance, distance, title, products, services, and categories, just to name a few. Another reason could be the proximity of a "near" query and your competitor's address is closer than yours.

What advertising options are available to business owners?
